Photos As Nigerian Governors Storm Late Akeredolu’s House After He Died

Some Governors had stormed the house of late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State after his sad death.

Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Kwara State, along with his Oyo State counterpart, Engineer Seyi Makinde, visited the family of Akeredolu, following the announcement of his death on Wednesday. The condolence visit took place at the deceased governor’s residence in Jericho, around 5:30 pm.

Expressing their condolences, Abdulrazaq and Makinde, accompanied by their aides, entered the private residence of the late governor, where Akeredolu’s wife, Betty, and immediate family members were mourning. Abdulrazaq praised the deceased Governor for his commitment and impact on humanity, describing his death as a significant loss to the nation.

Abdulrazaq stated, “This is a solemn affair, we are here today with the Governor of Oyo State and myself on behalf of all the members of the Nigeria Governors Forum to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Arakunrin Akeredolu. It is a sad affair.”

He continued, “We met the wife. We can just continue to pray that his soul will continue to rest in peace and may God give the family the fortitude to bear the loss. It is indeed a great loss for the nation. This is a man that rose to the height of his chosen career, the bar. He rose to become a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.”

Referring to the deceased former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Ghali Na’abba, Abdulrazaq added, “And we can also add that of the former Speaker, House of Representatives, Dr Ghali Naabba, may Allah forgive him his sins and give him aljannah firdus.”
