People’s Democratic Party Loses Chieftain

Hon. Dennis Omovie, a former lawmaker in the Delta State House of Assembly who represented the people of South Constituency II, has died.

The cause of his death was still unknown at the time of publication of this story.

In a Facebook chat with Our Correspondent, Hon. Hope George confirmed the lawmaker’s death.

“It is true, brief illness,” says Hon. George.

The former legislator died on Wednesday morning in Warri, leaving the political arena, particularly the People’s Democratic Party, PDP family, in sadness.

Dr. Michael Tidi, the Chairman of the Warri South Council, could not be reached for comment at the time of this report.
