WAEC Forgery Saga: Document Emerges Showing How Atiku Changed Name (PHOTO)

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, officially reaffirmed his name as Atiku Abubakar, dispelling any confusion surrounding his previous use of Siddiq Abubakar, as revealed in a declaration of oath sworn in August 1973.

In the sworn document published by Peoples Gazette, Atiku Abubakar clarified that he changed his name from Atiku Abubakar to Siddiq Abubakar in 1965 but reverted to Atiku Abubakar, which he has retained since. This declaration was made at the Chief Magistrate’s Court Registry in Lagos on August 18, 1973, when he was a deputy preventive superintendent with the Nigeria Customs Service in Apapa, Lagos.

Recent questions about Atiku Abubakar’s previous use of Siddiq arose from supporters of President Bola Tinubu, aiming to divert global attention from the president’s documented forgery and false claims under oath. Tinubu’s aides circulated documents indicating Atiku Abubakar’s use of “Siddiq” during his West African Examination (WAEC) in the 1960s, attempting to discredit the PDP candidate.

Atiku Abubakar has presented fresh evidence to the Supreme Court, challenging Tinubu’s forged Chicago State University (CSU) certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Atiku’s attorneys have questioned the authenticity of the document, emphasizing discrepancies in Tinubu’s name, further fueling rumors of identity fraud.

Despite these claims, Atiku Abubakar’s supporters have defended his integrity, asserting that he did not engage in any wrongdoing comparable to the president’s alleged fraudulent activities. They challenge Tinubu’s claims, pointing out inconsistencies in his academic background and urging him to provide photographic evidence from his school days, similar to Atiku Abubakar’s high school photos from Adamawa.
