BREAKING: Notorious Bandit Leader, Alhaji Kari, Killed In Niger State

A notorious bandits leader, Alhaji Kari, has been killed by the Nigerian Army, News Direct can report.

The known bandit was killed during an attempted attack on a military formation in Niger state.

A former spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, SK Usman Rtd revealed this in a Facebook post on Tuesday night.

“Local Sources have confirmed the killing of notorious Bandit Leader Alhaji Karki in Niger State during an attempt to attack a military unit. The killing of this high bandit kingpin brings hope in the fight against banditry,” he posted.

Niger State has been a haven for bandits in the past few months with several abductions and killings perpetrated in different communities.

Within the space of six months, two mass abductions of school children and teachers were carried out in Kagara Science College in Kagara and Saliu Tanko Islamic school in Tegina, both in Rafi Local Government Area of the state.

The security crisis in Niger, which has rendered many homeless, is a chunk of the security challenges bedevilling the country.
