After gunmen invaded the Okuta Elerinla Police Division, one police officer was slain in Ondo State.
According to NEWS DIRECT, the gunmen rushed the station on Monday about 1:00 am, catching the on-duty officers off guard.
The purpose of the shooters is still unknown.
Boluwaji Temenu, a police officer with the registration number AP 207538, was killed in the attack during the frenzied gunfire.
Police Public Relations Officer in the State, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the attack and said that the station’s officers were successful in fighting it off.
Odunlami stated that the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, had been instructed by Police Commissioner Oyeyemi Oyediran to take over the investigation right away.
