NNPC Lied! – BBC Africa Eye Reveals Real Cause Of Abule-Ado Explosion In Lagos [Video]

A report by BBC Africa Eye has said a pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) was responsible for the explosion that claimed 23 lives on 15 March 2020, in Soba, Abule Ado in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

In the investigation by the medium, it said the gas, which was seen in videos recorded before the blast, was coming from the pipeline exposed by the wearing off of the road, beneath which it was buried.

It dismissed claims by Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, that the explosion occurred after a truck collided with gas cylinders.

The report said the truck was heavy, piling pressure on the pipeline beneath it. It revealed that the road had become weakened by water and the surface was runoff.
