Mother, Wife And Concubine Of A Murder Suspect Arrested In Edo State
A landlord in Benin City, Imafuen Odiase was allegedly killed on Saturday evening. The suspect has fled and is still on the run since Saturday when the murder happened.
The suspect has an aged mother who was arrested on Sunday alongside the suspect’s wife and concubine. That have now been moved to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Benin City for further enquires.
The suspect was said to have rented an apartment in Imafuen Odiase’s neighborhood at Leaders’ College Road, Ugbioko Quarters, Off Ekenwan Road, Benin City.
According to Edenagboden, the younger brother of Odiase, he said the suspect’s wife left the house after a disagreement with the suspect. She then moved into Odiase’s house where she planned to divorce the suspect.
The suspect was said to have gone to Odiase’s house where he threatened him and his estranged wife.
Edenagboden alleged that the suspect later mobilised some people with whom he killed Odiase.
Edenagboden later said plans have been put in place to release the suspect’s aged mother.
