Money Doesn’t Satisfy me — Burna Boy

Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, a multi-award winning Nigerian artist, has confessed that money does not bring him happiness.

Burna Boy said this in the early hours of Saturday morning on his official Twitter account.

The Grammy Award-winning singer has claimed to be Africa’s highest-paid artist.

He said, “I said money doesn’t satisfy me, and it’s my truth; but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m the highest-paid artist in the History of African music. Believe it or not.”

Burna Boy revealed on his Instagram page on Friday that he will not be participating at AfroNation 2022 in Puerto Rico due to unforeseen circumstances.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AfroNation Festival, which promotes African music with a focus on the afrobeats genre, returns after a two-year hiatus.

Burna Boy was set to play alongside a slew of Nigerian superstars, including Wizkid, Wande Coal, and Ckay, to name a few.

“I’m extremely gutted that I won’t be at the AfroNation in Puerto Rico, due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control. I will make it up to you all for sure! Love, Damini,” Burna Boy wrote.

However, with Burna Boy’s cancellation, the organizers have replaced him with Rick Ross, an American rapper.
