Arsenal faced off with Manchester United in Sunday’s late Premier League kick-off.

The Gunners dominated early on but Marcus Rashford put Manchester United in front after 26 minutes with the first shot on target of the game.

Arsenal hit back immediately via Martin Odegaard but they then struggled to find a second goal.

Late strikers from Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus eventually gave Arsenal the lead but Arsenal should have been ahead earlier.

Bukayo Saka was again quiet by his standards, but should have put the Gunners in the lead before the dramatic finale, firing straight at Andre Onana from point-blank range with the goal gaping.

Speaking after the match, Mikel Arteta pointed out Saka’s huge miss in his press conference:

“I would have preferred that Bukayo puts it in the net a lot earlier,” Arteta said of the injury-time goals.

“A team needs different tools to win matches. I think we reacted well in the first half. That set the tone and brought some calmness.”
