MAY 29TH: Stage Collapses During Swearing-in Ceremony In Kano (VIDEO)
The stage housing the new governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir and his deputy collapsed during inauguration.
Channels TV reports that the stage collapsed at the swearing ceremony in Kano State.
It was gathered that the new governor, his deputy, and the acting chief judge were all on the podium when it collapsed, but they were said to to be safe.
The NNPP candidate won the 2023 election after polling 1,019,602 votes to defeat his closest rival, Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 890,705 votes.
A video shows thousands of supporters crowded around the venue of the swearing when the stage collapsed.
