Many Feared Dead In Fatal Crash Along Bauchi-Jos Road
The PUNCH has learned that many individuals were killed in a deadly crash on Bauchi-Jos Road on Thursday.
Though the precise number of people killed in the disaster is yet unknown, images received to our correspondent from the scene showed four bodies laying on the ground.
According to sources, the collision included a Hummer Bus and a Sharon Bus. One of the automobiles involved in the incident caught fire and was still burning at the time of reporting this report.
Yusuf Abdullahi, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Bauchi State, confirmed the occurrence to our correspondent over the phone.
However, he stated that the number of casualties is still unknown.
“Yes, there was an accident this afternoon around Buzaye town along Bauchi-Jos Road. As I speak with you, rescue operation by our men is ongoing at the scene of the accident.
“So, I cannot tell you the exact number of people killed. After the rescue operation, I’ll make details available to you,” Abdullahi said.
