One Kidnapped Bethel Baptist Student Regains Freedom On Health Grounds

One of the 121 Bethel Baptist High School Kaduna pupils who were kidnapped has been released due to health concerns.

The abducted student was returned by two of the same abductors, according to the DAILY POST.

The released student was brought to the hospital and is recovering, according to a source who requested anonymity.

According to the source, the liberated students admitted that they had been treated nicely, and that the abductors’ leader had ordered that the abducted students be treated well and not abused.

He went on to say that the abductors always permitted the students to keep their religious duties.

According to the source, the student said, “We sing choruses and pray loudly without molestation. The leader of the bandits said we must be allowed to worship our God.”

The abductors even encouraged the students to pray for them every time they left the camp, whether for operations or market, so that they would return safely, according to the source.

He said that the church was doing everything necessary to accommodate the robbers’ demands for the children’s release.
