Lionel Messi’s Move To PSG Confirmed, Gets Two-Year Contract Offer

Lionel Messi has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free agent contract.

Leo Messi has signed a contract with Paris Saint-Germain that will last through June 2023, with an option to extend until 2024.

Messi will be paid a guaranteed salary of €25 million net per season, plus add-ons. A total remuneration of roughly €35 million every season is possible.

PSG was the first team to contact Leo and Jorge Messi directly, without going via a middleman. Last Thursday, just after Barcelona’s official statement, talks began.

In April, Messi turned down offers from PSG and Man City, stating that he only wanted to stay at Barcelona. PSG tried again, and Leo accepted after leaving Barça due to La Liga regulations.

Messi will be introduced as the new PSG player in the coming hours. Neymar has been pushing for his friend Leo to come to Paris, and Nasser Al Khelaifi and Leonardo have been working nonstop on the transaction for the past five days.
