Like Canada, Twitter Should’ve Labelled #EndSARS Protesters As Terrorists — Lai Mohammed

Lai Mohammed, a spokesman for the Buhari regime, has slammed Twitter for failing to identify #EndSARS demonstrators as terrorists, as Canadian authorities have done with protesting truckers.

In their handling of the October 20, 2020 protest and the raging rallies in Canada, the information minister accused both Twitter and Canada of having double standards.

Mr Mohammed said “The Canadian protesters, who have blockaded roads and resorted to inconveniencing others, have been branded as terrorists or insurrectionists and subjected to a number of clampdown by government and private organisations” while “Twitter has suspended the truckers account” used to raise million of dollars for the demonstrations.

He alleged that Twitter did not take similar penalties against #EndSARS agitators who he claimed were causing violence and destroying public property.

Mr Mohammed claimed that Canada and Twitter, after describing #EndSARS protestors as “calm,” labeled comparable protesters in their own nations as insurgents and terrorists.

The minister made the claim during a press conference in Oro, Kwara state, on Sunday.

COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other COVID-19 regulations have sparked protests in Canada.
