Latest Update As Super Eagles’ Defender, Valentine Ozornwafor Loses Consciousness Twice On Pitch

RSC Charleroi, a Belgian club, has released the latest information on Valentine Ozornwafor, who has lost consciousness twice on the pitch for the Super Eagles.

During Charleroi’s 3-0 loss to Royale Union Saint Gilloise (RUSG) on Saturday night, Ozornwafor lost consciousness twice on the pitch.

In the 46th minute, the 22-year-old was stretchered off the pitch after being smacked in the face by RUSG attacker Dante Vanzeir.

The centre-back lay on the ground for a few minutes with his hands over his face before being replaced, while Vanzeir was rightfully sent off by the referee.

Charleroi provided an update on Ozornwafor in a tweet via their Twitter handle over the weekend, saying that everything is well with the defender but that he will be monitored.

“The first news about our defender Valentine Ozornwafor is reassuring. After losing consciousness twice in the field, he is now conscious and will remain under observation, according to the concussion protocol,” Charleroi posted on Twitter.

Ozornwafor is currently on loan at Charleroi from Turkish club, Galatasaray
