JUST IN: Top Ohanaeze Leader Raises Alarm Over Plot To Humiliate Igbos, Sends Message To Tinubu

A prominent member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the foremost Igbo socio-cultural organization, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, has called on President Bola Tinubu to conduct a thorough and unbiased investigation into the oil theft allegations against the Chief of Naval Staff, Emmanuel Ogalla.

Isiguzoro emphasized the need for a comprehensive and impartial inquiry into the accusations against Ogalla, expressing concerns about what he perceives as a systemic effort to humiliate Igbos.

While endorsing Tinubu’s anti-corruption stance against all public office holders, Isiguzoro commended the President for his administration’s zero tolerance for corruption practices.

In a statement, Isiguzoro stated, “In the face of serious allegations surrounding Nigeria’s Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, we urgently request a thorough and unbiased investigation into the alleged multi-billion naira oil numbering and contract splitting fraud.”

He continued, “Ndigbo and all Nigerians are closely observing the processes, amidst rumors that the Naval chief’s efforts to combat the activities of oil thieves are yielding positive results. The authorities must acknowledge the possibility of organized oil thieves, who previously controlled oil security and pipeline protection contracts, orchestrating this absurd petition. We adamantly refuse to be drawn into these theatrical distractions.”

Isiguzoro stressed the need for an impartial, fair, and comprehensive investigation into the actions of Nigeria’s Naval Chief during his six months in office, asserting that every political officeholder must face prosecution. He expressed opposition to any selective approach to the war against corruption, calling for a holistic strategy.

He urged Tinubu to take decisive actions and remove all individuals with corruption cases from his government, emphasizing the importance of demonstrating resolute measures in purging the administration of those who undermine the fight against corruption. Isiguzoro concluded, “Together, let us ensure justice prevails and corruption is rooted out of our nation.”
