JUST IN: Tinubu Fires Top FG Official, Reason Emerges

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has axed a top official of the Federal Government.

Halima Shehu, the national coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) was suspended the President due to allegations of financial misappropriation.

The suspension comes just two months after the Senate confirmed Shehu in the role.

Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, the National N-POWER Program Manager, has been appointed in an acting capacity as the NC/CEO while the investigation into the allegations is ongoing.

It’s worth noting that Shehu’s appointment as the national coordinator of NSIPA was approved by Tinubu on October 12, 2023.
