JUST IN: President Buhari Mourns As Aisha Loses Son

Aisha Abubakar, a former Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, has lost her first son, Aliyu Abubakar, in a car accident.

Three of the deceased’s siblings were also involved in the accident and are currently in the hospital.

Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has expressed his condolences to the former minister.

President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his condolences in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, titled, “President Buhari mourns, as ex-minister Aisha loses eldest son.”

In a message sent by his aides to the deceased’s father, Kabiru Mukhtar, and the former minister, the President described the death of the child Aliyu as “extremely sad.”

He prayed for the deceased’s two brothers and sister, who are presently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

“The President prayed for a quick recovery for two brothers and sister of the deceased, who are currently in hospital following a road accident that claimed the deceased’s life,” the statement said.

“He urged doctors, nurses, and other medical workers to do everything they can for the other accident victims in their care.”

Buhari also prayed to Allah to rest the soul of the deceased and give strength to the deceased’s family and friends to bear the loss.

Senior Special Assistant to the President, Special Duties, Ya’u Darazo, Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, and State Chief of Protocol, Lawal Kazaure, were among those who conveyed the President’s message.

The minister thanked the President for sending the delegation and thanked the family for his expression of love and concern for them.
