JUST IN: Peter Obi, Datti Make Huge Donation To Rider Who Returned N15M Left In His Keke

Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, alongside his running mate, Baba-Ahmed Datti, have announced a scholarship for Auwalu Salisu, a Kano-born tricycle rider who returned the sum of N15 million to its owner.

The heartwarming gesture was revealed during the ongoing LEADERSHIP awards and Conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

Obi, accompanied by his running mate and the Proprietor of the university, expressed their commitment to Salisu’s future, stating, “Salisu’s feeding, schooling, accommodation, and others will be handled by Baze University until he graduates.”

Reflecting on the significance of investing in Northern Nigeria, Obi emphasized the region’s potential, stating, “The North has no reason to be poor in Nigeria.” He underscored the importance of agriculture, noting, “We make more money from agriculture than oil.”

Obi highlighted the vast untapped agricultural resources in Northern Nigeria, emphasizing the need for strategic investment and development to harness its potential fully.

He concluded by emphasizing the importance of job creation and economic empowerment for the youth, emphasizing that addressing poverty and unemployment was crucial for reducing crime and fostering national development.
