JUST IN: Military Reveals What Will Happen To Those Mulling Coup Against Tinubu’s Govt

General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, has denounced calls for a coup d’état, labeling the proponents as enemies of Nigeria.

He warned that the law will catch up with them. There have been reports that some people are calling for a military coup against the federal government led by Bola Tinubu amid rising security and other challenges.

Addressing reporters after inaugurating the main entrance of the 6 Division, Nigerian Army, and Officers Transit Accommodation at the Division Headquarters in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, General Musa emphasized the military’s commitment to protecting democracy in the country.

He expressed confidence in the Armed Forces’ ability to address the nation’s security challenges while upholding democratic principles.

Musa asserted, “Whoever is making that call (coup) does not love Nigeria… the Armed Forces of Nigeria are here to protect democracy… any of those ones that are calling for anything other than democracy are evil people and I think they don’t mean well for Nigeria.”

Highlighting the benefits of democracy, General Musa underscored the importance of citizens’ patience and support for the government’s efforts to overcome challenges and advance the nation’s development.

He urged Nigerians to unite in defeating those opposed to progress and assured them of better days ahead, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving the economy and addressing various challenges across the country.

Musa concluded, “We will surely succeed and the Armed Forces are here to support the Government in ensuring that we develop, we succeed and to see that there is peace in Nigeria.”
