JUST IN: Gov Adeleke Storms Back To Nigeria As Sick Rumour Spreads, Opens Up

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has returned to Nigeria after a one-month vacation abroad, dispelling rumors about his health.

The governor’s extended absence had caused controversies, with speculation about knee surgery, which his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, dismissed, emphasizing Adeleke’s quest for investors during the trip. In a radio interview, Adeleke clarified that his vacation was for rest in Thailand and not for surgery.

A video showing aides welcoming him at the airport with excitement and joy was sighted. Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, confirmed Adeleke’s return.

Rasheed stated, “The governor arrived in Nigeria after a month of working vacation outside the country, he arrived at the Murtala International Airport in an elated mood and he feels refreshed and recharged for more service to the good people of Osun State.”

Adeleke expressed his joy, stating, “I’m elated to be back to Nigeria in the midst of my people. You all can see I’m in an excited mood as I’m now recharged and refreshed to deliver more good governance and service delivery to the people of Osun.”

He debunked health rumors, saying, “The insinuation of whether I’m sick or otherwise is unfounded. I am as fit as a fiddle. I went on a working vacation to both recharge and meet partners for the development and progress of our state. Those spreading falsehood about my trip are just embarrassed and dumbfounded by our achievements. That’s why they’re spreading all those unfounded rumours. I’m back now, hale and hearty. The good work continues in Osun.”
