JUST IN: Fuel Tanker Explodes In Lagos
On Thursday, a gasoline-laden truck exploded beside the Lagos State Homes Estate at Ijora Palette Junction in Ijora Badiya, Lagos State.
At 1:30 p.m., an explosion happened.
The truck was leaking, according to a witness, and some passers-by alerted the driver to the problem.
According to the witness, the driver got down and attempted to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher before the truck burst.
To protect lives and property, firefighters and a squad from the Ijora Badiya Police Division were on the scene.
They were eventually able to extinguish the fire.
The accident resulted in no deaths.
To avoid traffic congestion and hoodlum attacks on innocent individuals, the police have diverted traffic from the road.
According to a police officer who requested anonymity, officers responded quickly to the incident and alerted the fire department, which also arrived quickly.
