JUST IN: Benue Community Under Heavy Attack By Fulani Herdsmen
The community of Tyo-tu in Makurdi, Benue State, is currently under siege by suspected armed Fulani herdsmen. Tyo-tu, situated along Gboko Road in Makurdi, is facing an ongoing attack.
Ukan Kurugh, a prominent Benue-born blogger, social media influencer, activist, and humanitarian, issued a distress call, urging security agencies to swiftly intervene to quell the situation.
“On his Facebook wall, Ukan Kurugh posted, ‘There is an attack right now at Tyo tu along Gboko Road by suspected herdsmen. The security agencies should act fast while travellers are advised to ply that road with caution now.'”
These attacks, kidnappings, and killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen have unfortunately become routine occurrences in Benue State, persisting despite ongoing efforts to find solutions.
