Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), met with Malam Nasir el-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, on Tuesday at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna.
Adeboye was accompanied by top cabinet members of the state government as well as top RCCG officials to the meeting.
The meeting took place just days after the 79-year-old general overseer announced the release of eight members of his church who had been kidnapped in Kaduna.
On March 26, 2021, members of the RCCG, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna, were attacked near Doka along the Kachia-Kafanchan Road, on their way to a church program, according to NEWS DIRECT.
Following that, Adeboye reported on Thursday, April 8, that all eight church members who had been abducted had been taken to a hospital for examination after regaining their freedom.
The meeting was held behind closed doors, and the state government has yet to issue a statement on the result.
