Insecurity: Blame Amaechi, He’s Happy With Killings By IPOB In Rivers – Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has blamed the state’s insecurity problems on Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi.

Amaechi, according to Wike, was pleased with the state’s instability, particularly the deaths of citizens by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB.

The current instability in the state, according to Amaechi, is due to the Wike-led government’s massive unemployment.

Wike reacted by saying that Amaechi, the state’s former governor, is frustrated and has lost focus.

According to the governor, President Muhammadu Buhari was indicted by his predecessor’s charges.

Amaechi indicted Buhari knowing that it was the president’s constitutional duty to safeguard the security of Nigerians, according to Wike’s Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri.

“Is unemployment fueling insecurity in the All Progressives Congress (APC)-governed states of Kaduna, Plateau, Borno, Yobe, Ondo, Ebony, Imo, and Niger?” the statement asks.

“Is he (Amaechi) attempting to bring charges against his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and is legally tasked with ensuring Nigerians’ safety?

“Perhaps the minister is pleased that members of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are murdering innocent police officers who are defending lives and property.

“Is Amaechi pleased that the hoodlums took the weapons of these deceased security personnel? Amaechi appears to have lost his focus and is now frustrated.”

River State has recently experienced some major security issues, which have resulted in the deaths of both security personnel and residents.
