Drama As APC Gov Vows Not To Run For Any Office After Supreme Court Judgment

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has declared that he harbors no intentions of pursuing any political office again.

He however pointed out that he would not contest any other office after completing his second term as Governor. Sule made this assertion during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Friday, following the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his election victory.

The Supreme Court, led by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, dismissed the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, David Ombugadu, stating that it lacked merit.

During the interview, Sule conveyed a message to David Ombugadu, urging him to be patient for his own political aspirations. He stated, “I came in only to be a governor. I did not come in to be a chairman, a senator, or a member of the House of Representatives. I don’t have any dreams for those offices.”

Continuing, he categorically stated, “I have no dream of becoming even president. I have no dreams for that. I can tell you confidently that Abdullahi Sule would not go for the Senate after leaving office. By the time I finish my eight years, I can do whatever I want to do. You can take it from me confidently that I have no intention to run for the office of a senator. You can keep this tape and play it one day.”
