How Obasanjo Diabolically Double-crossed APC Chieftain, Bisi Akande – Buhari

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s diabolical double-cross, according to President Muhammadu Buhari, lost Chief Bisi Akande, the All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain, his bid for a second term.

Buhari claimed that Obasanjo’s heinous deeds put an end to Akande’s governorship ambitions.

The president made the announcement at the public launch of Akande’s autobiography, “My Participations,” in Lagos State.

“It is common knowledge that Akande was the victim – along with other AD Governors – of a diabolical double-cross which ended his gubernatorial career. Only the steadfast Asiwaju Bola Tinubu escaped the electoral massacre masterminded by President Obasanjo.

”Desperately disappointed though he was, and being a good Muslim, he accepted this setback as part of the trials of life. He looked to the future of service to the country,” he said.

Buhari lauded Akande as a “great public officer” and someone he would trust in the jungle.

He explained that the APC leader maintained his “inflexible integrity” both inside and outside of government, never accepting or providing bribes.

  1. Such a DECISIVE comment should not be coming from a sitting President because his Office and position a father of the nation, should place him above such pettiness.
What exactly was he hoping to achieve with such statement?
Sow discord between OBJ and Akande?
Sow discord between two SW leaders?

One would think our “elderly” folks should not engage in such divide and rule pranks or what is he teaching the younger generation like us?
Very Sad behaviour, coming from a President.
