Gunshots As Amosun Loyalists Gather For APC Congress In Ogun

On Saturday, there were loud gunshots when supporters of former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, assembled at the Ake Palace Pavilion for the APC State Congress (APC).

Several armed political thugs had stormed the congress location, shooting repeatedly to scare away Amosun supporters.

The gunfire began right away. Senator Tolu Odebiyi and Hon. Adekunle Akinlade arrived on the grounds of the Ake palace.

Hundreds of party supporters scurried for safety as police attempted to restore order.

Police had earlier shut up the Ake palace to prevent supporters of the former Governor from convening a congress, but they eventually departed after receiving orders from above, according to DAILY POST.

According to our source, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s APC faction would hold their congress at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
