Gunmen Kidnap Jonathan’s Cousin In Bayelsa

Jephthah Robert, a relative of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers.

He was kidnapped around 9.30 p.m. on Tuesday in front of his house on Dimrose Road in Yenagoa, according to reports.

Azibaola Robert, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zeetin Engineering Limited, is the victim’s older brother.

The circumstances behind Jephthah’s kidnapping were unclear, but a spokesman for the State Police Command, SP Asinim Butswat, acknowledged the occurrence in a brusque reaction to questions.

“He was picked up along Dimrose Road in Yenagoa,” Butswat stated. We are stepping up our efforts to free him and apprehend his kidnappers.

“We’re working on a promising lead,” says the narrator.

Jonathan’s cousin was kidnapped just 24 hours after Federal Otokito, the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Industry, Trade, and Investment, was released by his kidnappers.

On January 20, Otokito was kidnapped from his home in Otuokpoti, a hamlet in the state’s Ogbia Local Government Area.

He was held captive by his assailants for nearly five days before being released on Monday.
