Gov Bello Visit Kundu Community, Commend Police For Repelling Bandits

In Kundu, Rafi LGA, yesterday men of the Nigerian Police Force repelled an attack by bandits on the community. The brave police men who were alive to their duties foiled an attempt by the criminals to abduct people of the area and killed over 10 of the criminals and lost 2 of their men in the process.

Governor Abu Sani Bello was in the community today to sympathize with the men of the force and to thank the brave officers for their sacrifice and to assure them of the commitment of the Niger State Government to helping the force in its objective of securing the state.

While speaking, Gov Abu Sani Bello sympathized with the men, congratulated them for the fine job they are doing and invited them to table whatever they need to help them discharge their duties more effectively. The Governor advised them to speak frankly with him and that his administration will everything within its power to ensure that the men get what they need.

He further disclosed that the State Government has made arrangements for some equipment in combating insecurity, and that the equipment would arrive soon and be handed to the Police Force in the state.

The Governor also visited the military checkpoint and cemetery in Zungeru.
