God Can Turn Nigeria’s Economic Tide — Adeboye

Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer Worldwide of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, warned on Sunday that Nigeria faces a slew of issues, particularly in the economy.

The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was present during Adeboye’s monthly first Sunday program, which was watched by our correspondent.

The famous clergyman preached on the issue of “Divine Involvement” from Second Chronicles chapter 20 verses 20-30, noting that “Divine Involvement” meant that God was involved in our circumstances.

He claimed that God might change a failure into an overnight success, and that when God is involved, He will provide much-needed assistance, lamenting the current administration’s borrowings.

The preacher divided his speech into sections, including God’s role in man’s and nation’s concerns.

“We should pray to God to bear the burden of our rulers. Terrorism would be put to an an end as well as the economic challenges the country is involved in.

“God can turn the tide economically, as seen in Second Kings chapter 7 verses 1-20.

“He (God) can solve national crisis overnight. We have problems, you have to be blind or deaf not to notice the problems Exodus 14 verses 1-31,” Adeboye stated.

He assured that the problems the country is currently enmeshed in could be surmounted, “If you worship me (God), don’t panic. He will prove himself. When God speaks, it is always settled for His own people,” he added.

While commenting on Coronavirus pandemic, Adeboye revealed that snakebite deaths have doubled the number of casualties caused by COVID-19.

He said death would only occur to those whose time it is to die, stressing that in a recent statistics, over 2,000 persons died as a result of snakebite.

“Divine involvement will protect the people from pandemic, as seen in Exodus chapter 12 verses 1-36;” adding, “Coronavirus is a noisome pestilence.”
