Fubara Declares New Phase In Rivers, Reveals What He Will Do After He Won At Supreme Court

In a State-wide Broadcast on Friday, Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, declared a new phase in the state.

According to Fubara, it is going to be a new phase of accelerated growth and development for the state following the resolution of legal battles challenging his electoral victory. Expressing gratitude to God and the people of Rivers State, Fubara dedicated his triumph to their trust and confidence.

Reflecting on the challenging litigation journey, Fubara acknowledged the overwhelming support received during the governorship election on March 18, 2023. Despite the need for legal validation, he emphasized the people’s mandate, stating, “I owe this victory, not to my efforts or our ingenuity but to God and you the good people of Rivers State.”

The governor thanked President Bola Tinubu for his paternal role in Rivers State and appreciated the Supreme Court’s verdict as an immeasurable energizer for accelerated governance. Fubara urged opposition parties to collaborate for the state’s development, extending an olive branch to contenders and those involved in legal battles.

With the litigations concluded, Fubara emphasized the importance of accelerated growth and development for Rivers State, calling for unity and collaboration. He pledged to explore the path of peace to alleviate poverty, vowing to continue the administration’s trajectory of progress in the last seven months.
