FG Decimating Terrorists, Bandits — Lai Mohammed
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, has claimed that terrorists and insurgents are being gradually eliminated from the nation.
According to Lai Mohammed, the government’s efforts have made the North East once more accessible.
During a ceremony to commemorate World Tourism Day in 2022, the Minister made this announcement in Calabar during a joint press conference with Professor Ben Ayade, Governor of Cross River State.
“I am bold to say here that in the last three months, even our worst critics will agree that the government has gotten the handle on security issues. In the area of insecurity, I want to assure you that the worst is over.
“It’s unfortunate that people who comment on insecurity fail to start from where we were in 2015 and where we are today”, he said.
He also expressed joy that the renewed deployment of technology and the synergy between government security forces and private security companies have succeeded in the fight against oil bunkering.
