Ex-INEC Chairman, Jega Lands A Top Appointment
The former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega has got a top appointment.
Governor Abdullahi Sule appointed Jega the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK). The official announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma-Aliyu, through a statement dated December 18 in Lafia.
In addition to Professor Jega, the appointed members of the Governing Council include former lawmaker Mrs. Mary Enwongulu, former Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi Kore, former Head of Service Mr. Thomas Ari Ogiri, and Dr. Ahmed Gero. The statement also mentioned that the formal inauguration of the Governing Council would be conducted at a later date.
