While his teammates went ecstatic at Wembley Stadium, Donnarumma quietly walked away after saving Saka’s important penalty.

After both Italy and England missed two penalty penalties, it was up to Saka to score the game-winning penalty, but his effort was tipped away by Donnarumma, ensuring the European Championships would be held in Rome rather than at home.

Instead of celebrating loudly after Italy’s victory, Donnarumma began walking away silently and calmly until being swarmed by his teammates.

When asked about his non-celebration, Donnarumma told Sky Sport Italia: “I didn’t celebrate because I didn’t realise we had won!”
