DJ Venum Set For December Back To Back Shows
It is looking like a real “Detty December” for ace Disc Jockey known as DJ Venum, born Aletor Jordan Obehi as the month is filled with back to back events and shows. While many DJs may be sulking their thumbs this December, DJ Venum is sure on the gravy train as he rocks one show after the other.
His schedule started on December 3rd up till 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th when he displayed his mastery of the wheel of steel at B.O.T.A in Ikoyi, Bogobiri in Lagos, Lagos CliqueParty in Lekki, Beach House Party and SOTO Gallery respectively.
On December 13th he continued his heavy itinerary at ‘Bimi Likes to Party’ in Victoria Island, followed by a bridal shower on the 14th also in Victoria Island, as well as Sweatbox Party and Roma Lagos on the 14th and 15th respectively.
On December 16th he is expected back at Roma Lagos, Lekki as well as the Sweatbox Party before heading for the Ojodu Carnival on the 17th.
In fact, between 17th and 18th he has five events, namely; the Ojodu Carnival, Junk Fest, Bunna’s Wedding After-Party, House Party in Lekki and Marino and Friends in Victoria Island.
His “Detty December” continues on December 23rd with Rave IV followed by the Island Block Party and Play-Off on Boxing Day in Victoria Island.
On December 27th, 28th and 31st he would be performing live at Good Vibes With Chappo, Outta X and Takwa Bay Lifestyle.
He would be rounding off the year and the beginning of a new year with Mainland Block Party, Falomo Youth Party and Inferno Block Party, traversing both the Island and the Mainland.
DJ Venum, who is also a sound engineer displays his versatility and keen ability in mastery of different genres even though his favourite genres of music are Afrobeats and House.
He has played at several concerts and festivals. He regularly plays at Mainland BlockParty – Nigeria’s biggest youth event. He also has a residency at Bogobori and Roma Lagos.
He got the name Venum from a friend during his days as a rapper because of his depth and fierceness.
He is the firstborn of his parents. DJ Venum, who is from Edo State, comes from a musical background. His father is a musician and creative artist who has a residency at Bogobiri in Lagos.
DJ Venum attended Ireti Grammar School in Ikoyi and later Yaba College of Technology. His interest in music started at an early age from watching his dad play at music gigs.
