Buhari Mourns Shehu Shagari’s Wife

On Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his condolences to the late former President Shehu Shagari’s widow, Hajiya Hadiza Shagari, who died at the age of 80.

Mrs Hadiza Shagari died on Thursday as a result of COVID-19 complications.

In a statement released by Buhari’s spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina in Abuja, the dead was characterized as a rock of strength and support for the family while her husband was busy serving the nation.

He expressed his condolences to the government and people of Sokoto State, asking the family to be comforted by Hajiya Hadiza’s good acts.

President Buhari prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased’s sins and grant her Paradise.
