Buhari meets Security Chiefs in Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a closed-door meeting with heads of security agencies in the country as well as paramilitary services at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Although the agenda of the meeting has yet officially been dieclosed, it is coming few days to the rescheduled inconclusive governorship elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Our correspondent gathered that the recent killings in Kaduna state and the alleged military invasion of some collation centres in the last March 9 governorship and house of assembly elections which have been criticised by Nigerians and members of the international community are expected to form the deliberations a the meeting.

Those meeting with the President include the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonishakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ibas, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar.

Also present are the National Security Adviser, Major Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd), Director of National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ahmed Abubakar, the Director General, Department of Security Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, and the Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu.

The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dangazzau (rtd) and the Minister of Defence, Brigadier Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali (rtd) are also part of the meeting.
