BREAKING: Senate Sends Urgent Message As It Passes Tinubu’s 2024 Budget Today

The Senate is set to commence plenary today, Saturday, December 30, at 1 pm prompt to deliberate on President Bola Tinubu’s budget.

The aim is to discuss and pass the 2024 budget during its plenary. Originally adjourned till Friday, December 29, the date was later rescheduled to Saturday, December 30, at 10 am, as communicated by the Clerk to the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze.

In a subsequent statement released on Saturday morning, Akubueze clarified that the plenary session would now commence at 1 pm prompt. The National Assembly’s leadership has affirmed its commitment to passing the 2024 budget before the close of 2023 to adhere to the Federal Government’s January–December budget cycle policy.

In a concise statement titled “Plenary sitting to commence at 1 pm prompt,” Akubueze conveyed, “This is to kindly inform Distinguished Senators that the plenary sitting of the Senate, scheduled for Saturday, December 30th, 2023, will hold by 1 pm prompt.”
