BREAKING: Protest Erupts As Supreme Court Delivers Judgment On Cases Against Tinubu (PHOTOS)

Protesters have gathered around the Supreme Court, where the final verdict on the 2023 presidential election is set to be delivered.

The apex court had scheduled today, Thursday, October 26, to announce its judgment on the cases brought before it by Peter Obi (Labour Party) and Atiku Abubakar (PDP) against President Bola Tinubu (APC).

Obi and Atiku are contesting the outcome of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld Tinubu’s election on September 6.

During Monday’s hearing, Atiku requested the court to consider new evidence of forgery against Tinubu but the apex court rejected that bid. The Supreme Court is currently deciding each prayer one after the other and will give its final judgment soon.

However, around the court premises, protesters were seen chanting songs and displaying placards, banners, and other protest materials. Security agents were deployed around the court premises to prevent break down of law and order. As at the time of filing this report, the situation is a bit tensed amid uneasy calm but not violent.
