BREAKING: Pandemonium as terrorists attack Niger communities

On Thursday morning, terrorists attacked a number of communities in Niger State’s Kontagora local government area that were located after Kamapani Waya.

The Nation’s correspondent had to turn around after leaving Kampani Waya while traveling by public transportation from Minna to Kontagora.

Some vehicles warned by the residents alerted the driver of the bandit activity.

They had to go back to Kampani Waya and spend around 40 minutes there.

The villagers were seen on alert while some were urging the women and children to go and hide. Some cows were being taken away for hiding.

Every vehicles coming from Minna had to stop to avoid getting into the crossfire.

But military troops have been mobilised to the roadm

Our correspondent saw some of the military troops some distance after the Kamapani Waya as they directed motorists.

Some soldiers entered the communities to engage the terrorists.
