BREAKING: Osun Residents Protest Over Insecurity, Bad Governance
In Osun state, civil society organizations thronged major avenues in Osogbo, the state capital, to protest insecurity and poor administration in Nigeria.
According to the Convener, Comrade Waheed Lawal, the purpose of the demonstration is to raise awareness among inhabitants of the state about the need of speaking up against injustice and maladministration rather than dying in quiet.
The demonstrators marched from Old Garage’s popular Freedom Park to Station Road, where they spoke to store owners near Fagbewesa Junction on the importance of joining the fight for a better Nigeria.
Comrade Waheed Saka who spoke at the Fagbewesa junction said despite the human and natural resources the country is endowed with, poor leadership has put the country in the wrong direction leading to untold hardship among the masses.
