BREAKING: Tinubu Makes A Very Key Appointment, Reveals Expectation

President Bola Tinubu has made a very crucial appointment into his government.

On Friday, Tinubu appointed Shaakaa Chira as the substantive Auditor-General of the Federation, following the recommendation made by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale announced the appointment in a statement. He stated that the president exercised his powers as outlined in Section 86 of the 1999 Constitution (Amended) to make the appointment.

Ngelale further mentioned that Chira’s appointment was endorsed after the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) conducted a rigorous screening exercise. Chira emerged as the most qualified candidate, having achieved the highest score in the examination among all qualified candidates for the position.

Ngelare’s statement states that “President Bola Tinubu expects the new Auditor-General to justify the confidence reposed in him and to live up to the high expectations that Nigerians have concerning the execution of the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.”

Tinubu had in the last few week made several appointments into his government. While many of them have been confirmed by the National Assembly, a number of them are awaiting approval.
