BREAKING: One Killed As Transport Workers Loyal To Governor Makinde’s Appointee, Auxiliary Clash With Rival Group In Ibadan

In the Iwo Road neighborhood of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), also known as Park Management System (PMS), are currently grappling with a competing organization.

According to information received, one individual has been slain by transport workers during the present situation.

On Tuesday, SaharaReporters stated that NURTW and PMS members were involved in a brawl in Ibadan’s Agugu Oremeji-Agugu neighborhood, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals.

According to a local neighbor who shared a video of the incident to our correspondent, “It’s the genuine deal. That video encapsulates everything. Tell our people to stay away from Iwo Road right now. It’s a serious situation, my brother. One individual has already been slain. It can be found in that video “he stated

Mukaila Lamidi, the PMS’ current chairman, was sentenced to prison in 2017 for assassinating Mr. Auwal Shanono, the National President of the Nigeria Medical Students’ Association (NIMSA).

Auwal was returning from Ife, where he had attended a national conference on maternal mortality prevention.

He and a number of other students were entrapped between warring factions of the NURTW commanded by Auxiliary in Ibadan when they halted at Iwo Road, Ibadan, to take a night bus to Kaduna.

Auwal was a 500-level medical student at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria till his death.
Makinde appointed him chairman of the PMS after he was released from prison, which sparked a lot of debate in Ibadan.

Attempts to elicit a response from Adewale Osifeso, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), were unsuccessful since he did not answer his phone calls or respond to the text message provided to him.
