BREAKING: Nigerian Minister Slumps At Official Function In Bauchi State

Ambassador Maryam Yalwaji Katagun, Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, fell at a formal occasion in Bauchi State on Monday.

According to Daily Trust, the Minister, who was in Bauchi to inaugurate an empowerment initiative, slumped during her speech during the ceremony, which was attended by the Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela.

She was brought to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital’s Trauma Center (ATBU-TH).

A witness stated, “She merely grasped her head and slumped suddenly while officials hurried her to the hospital immediately.”

On Sunday, the Minister, who has been in Bauchi since Saturday, was interviewed live on Globe FM radio.

She had other personal commitments prior to Monday’s show.

According to a top government official, the Minister would be transferred to Abuja for further medical attention as soon as her condition improves.
