BREAKING: Many People Killed As Robbers Storm Several Banks, Shoot Randomly

An unspecified number of residents in Otukpo, Benue State, have tragically lost their lives in an attack carried out by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers.

The incident occurred around 3 pm on Friday when the gunmen invaded several banks in Otukpo, firing their weapons indiscriminately. Eyewitness Sunday Abah reported that the armed robbers operated unchecked for hours without any security intervention.

“Armed robbers have taken over everywhere in Otukpo. They are just shooting whoever they see. Currently, they are robbing Zenith bank, and they have been here for more than three hours,” Abah stated.

The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Catherine Anene Sewuese, could not be reached for comment at the time of this report, leaving the community in shock and seeking answers.
