Ex-Senate President, Saraki’s 2023 Posters Flood Ibadan

In Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, posters of former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki for the 2023 presidential election have surfaced.

Saraki ran Kwara State as governor from 2003 to 2011 on the Peoples Democratic Party platform, according to our source (PDP).

Saraki, who served as Senate President between 2015 and 2019, transitioned from the PDP to the APC after eight years as governor of Kwara State.

During the run-up to the 2019 national elections, he quit the APC and rejoined the PDP.

However, our correspondent noticed that, ahead of the 2023 election, posters with Saraki’s photographs, the PDP logo, and his presidential desire can now be seen at crucial locations in Ibadan.

On Monday, a DAILY POST writer traveled around Ibadan’s major streets to observe the situation.

The posters were posted in those critical spots Sunday night, according to DAILY POST investigations.

Mokola, Roundabout, Uncle Joe, and Adamasingba were among the places where the posters were hung.

“Let Nigeria work again and again,” read the slogan on the posters.

“Abubakar Bukola Saraki for President of the United States of America in 2023.”

It’s unclear whether the former Senate president is aware of the posters at this time.

DAILY POST’s efforts to find out who was behind the posters have been fruitless as of Monday night, when this article was filed.
