My Friend, Shut Up And Sit Down – Yul Edochie Roasts Arise TV’s Rufai Oseni, Reveals What He Did (VIDEO)
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has criticized Arise TV presenter Rufai Oseni for his recent behavior towards guests on the show.
The clash occurred during an interview with Jesutega Onokpasa, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, regarding President Bola Tinubu’s fuel subsidy removal and Nigeria’s economic situation.
The altercation between Rufai and Onokpasa sparked reactions from Nigerians, especially supporters of the current administration, who accused Rufai of bias. In response, Edochie posted a video on his Instagram account, chastising Rufai and urging him to be respectful.
Addressing Rufai directly, Edochie said, “My friend, shut up and sit down! You have no right, no moral justification to speak where people with integrity are talking! Your behavior on national TV was disrespectful. You have shown no respect for the laws of this country! Remember when you were caught driving on a BRT lane in Lagos? You couldn’t even apologize until a video surfaced. Who taught you journalism? The first lesson should have been to respect your guests.”
Edochie continued, “You are not superior to anyone out there. Your disrespect is appalling, and you should learn proper journalism. Insulting people on national TV, acting like you own Nigeria, claiming to be the most concerned citizen – it’s all nonsense! You have no right to talk to anyone on TV that way because you’re no better than any Nigerian.”
