BREAKING: Gunmen Kill Traditional Rulers In Imo

Unknown gunmen opened fire on traditional rulers attending a conference in Imo State on Tuesday evening, killing two of them.

When the incident occurred, the monarchs were holding a stakeholders’ meeting at the Njaba Local Council headquarters in Nnenasam.

The traditional rulers who survived were said to have suffered varied degrees of damage.

Mike Abattam, the state’s police spokesperson, confirmed that two of the traditional rulers had died.

In the meantime, the incident was being investigated by the command.

Obi 1 of Okwudor independent community, Eze E. Anayochukwu Durueburuo, and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebineowerre autonomous community were among the monarchs reported dead.
