BREAKING: Gunmen Attack Abia Police Station, Release Suspects

Unknown gunmen attacked and set fire to a police station in Uzoakoli, Bende Local Government Area, Abia State.

The attack, which is one of many on government facilities in the South East, happened in the early hours of Monday, according to News Direct.

According to The Country, the gunmen overwhelmed the officers on the scene and released the suspects who had been detained.

Although the specifics of the assault were still sketchy when the report was filed, it was unclear if they entered the police armory.

In a related development, three people were allegedly killed in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, on Sunday night.

Ifite, Awka South local government district, was the scene of the incident, while Unizik Junction was the scene of the other fatality.
